All wayward sailors, tugboat captains, and pirates that are Arrowmen, and their families, are invited to join our naval forces at the 2012 Aca Chapter Paddle Potluck. Join us for an afternoon to celebrate a great year of achievement in 2011 and start of the year with games, Kayak Polo, FOOD, fellowship and fun.

At this potluck we will be honoring all those Arrowmen and their families that helped make 2011 a success for our Chapter. We will also be recognizing our new Vigil Honors and awarding the prestigious Chapter Service Award.

There is no cost to attend this event, but there is a day use fee of $10 per vehicle to enter Lake Perris State Recreation Area. We also ask that you register to attend in advance so there aren’t any duplicate dishes (like 10 plates of hard tack). When you register please let us know whether you would prefer to bring a dessert, side or main dish. Dishes should be able to serve 15 people.

To register to attend the 2012 ACA Chapter Paddle Potluck please contact James Hermes at (760)537-0394 or email acachapter@gmail.com

Clan Versus Clan

Every year at the end of the potluck we hold a contest that pits the First-Vice Chief of Chemehuevie against the First-Vice Chief of Agua Caliente. Contests in the past have included a miniature  golf course and a gourmet hot dog decorating contest. What will it be this year?

Kayak Polo

Kayak Polo is a competitive ball sport played on water, in a defined "field", between two teams of 5 players, each in a kayak. The object of the game is to get the ball into the opponent's goal, the team scoring the most goals in a set time being the winner.

Boats & Other Paddle Craft

All persons that will be out on the lake in a boat are required to wear a PDF. There will be a limited number of kayaks and PDFs available. If you have access to your own PDF (personal floatation device, also known as a life jacket) or paddle craft (raft, canoe, or kayak) then please feel to bring it, but please be aware that Lake Cahuilla county park requires that the boats be clean and free of any standing water in the hull. All boats will be inspected at the front gate before being allowed in the park.

Boat Requirements for Lake Perris SRA

The requirements for the county park require that all boats be clean and free of any standing water within the hull of the boat. The hull, inside and out, must be completely dry. All boats will be inspected at the front gate by park personnel and are free.
