Officer Elections for the
Agua
Caliente and Chemehuevie 2009 Clan Officers

Elections are coming up for the 2009 Clan Officers. Agua Caliente
Clan will be holding their elections at the October Clan meeting and Chemehuevie
Clan will be holding their elections at the November Clan meeting.
Don't miss your chance to elect your youth leaders or maybe even serve
in a leadership position in 2009. Positions up for election are Clan Chief, Clan
First Vice-Chief and Clan Secretary. Other non-elected leadership positions that
are available for 2009 are: Multimedia Chairman; OA Unit Election Team Captains;
Ceremony Team Chairman; OA Troop/Team Representative Coordinator, editor for the
Chapter's newsletter.
Any youth that would like to serve in one of the non-elected leadership
positions mentioned above, or adults that would like to serve as the advisers,
can volunteer by attending one of the upcoming Agua Caliente or Chemehuevie Clan
meetings.
A list of of the responsibilities for the Clan Chief, Clan First-Vice
Chief, and Clan Secretary can be found below.
Chapter Chief: Responsible for running the monthly Clan
meeting; represents the Clan at the quarterly Chapter meetings and various
Cahuilla Lodge functions; oversees the regular operations for the Order of the
Arrow in the community.
Chapter First-Vice Chief: Responsible for overseeing the
various committee chairman positions (i.e.: Multimedia Chairman, Ceremony Team
Chairman, etc.); basically serves as the right hand of the Clan Chief.
Clan Secretary: Responsible for maintaining accurate
records and meeting minutes for the Clan and Chapter, coordinates with other
Clan Secretary to maintain those records.

Multimedia Chairman: Plans, produces and helps to edit the
Chapter's videos, podcasts, and vidcasts.
OA Elections Team Captains: Serves as the head of an OA Unit
Election Team. Persons serving in this position need to organize an election
team, make sure they are properly trained and prepared to carry out an OA
elections for a Scout Troop or Team. This is not a year round position. OA Unit
Elections run from January through the end of March.
Ceremony Team Chairman: Responsible for organizing and training
the Chapter's various Ceremony Teams. This person is also in charge of the
annual Arrow of Light Team Bootcamp.
OA Troop/Team Representative Coordinator: Responsible for
communicating with each of the OA Troop/Team Representatives from each Unit in
the Sunrise District to make sure that they have the latest information to bring
to the OA members in their Troops or Teams.
Editor for the Chapter's newsletter: Responsible for collecting
articles and putting together the ACA Chapter's quarterly (published 4 times a
year) newsletter.
