What better way could there be to bring in the new year than with some BOOM from a big drum. Come join us for a small social gathering in a pow wow type setting. This is a great way for dancers to shake their feathers and drummers to perform their songs.

The evening will start with a feed (small potluck) and then we'll start the mini-tribal gathering. Everyone attending is asked to bring a dish that can serve up to 15 people.

 It will be an evening full of meeting with new and old friends, exhibition & social dancing, and just enjoying a great evening.

What is Detsanvli?

Detsanvli is a word that means dance circle. It is the name that we use for a series of social gatherings hosted Cahuilla Lodge's dance and drum teams. In a way, its also the unofficial name for a program that teaches the tradition and "a good way" that Pow Wow can bring in to a young person's life.
