The Chapter's annual Arrow of Light Team Bootcamp
was held on Saturday, January 12, at the Scout House in Indio.
Ten youth and four adults attended this year's
Bootcamp. Here, they got to experience the rowdy
Weblos, heckling audience and a few other surprises.
Some youth who are veterans of previous Bootcamps
brought in some new ideas for challenges. The best
one was the Weblo who is too scared to move, never
looked up, and was generally just overly shy.
There were many memorable moments from this day.
Tyler Beltran's aim was true when he used a shop vac
(set to blow) to cause gusts of wind to knock off
one OA member's head dress during one rehearsal.
Some youth brought towels in anticipation for the
moment when Daniel Perry used a squirt bottle and a
floor fan to make it rain on the ceremony team.
The event this year was run by Daniel Perry,
Johnathan Rakestraw, and Tyler Beltran. They worked
hard to provide great information for those in
attendance and put a few great twists in this, the
6th annual, Arrow of Light Team Bootcamp.
