Recap of the

ACA Chapter Service Weekend

Saturday, March 8

at Camp Emerson in Idyllwild, CA

Twelve Chapter members came together for the Chapter Service Weekend at Camp Emerson. We finished digging a trench that was begun at the September Ordeal, laid a new water line in the trench, and  covered it up.

There was a worry that the trench had been partially filled due to snow and rain from last winter, but luckily the wasn't much dirt filling the trench.  Our work crew worked through the morning evening the depth of the trench, smashing rocks that were in the way, and laying the pipe for the water line.

After lunch, we tested the water line for leaks and then covered the pipe. We also filmed the main clips for Vidcast 2 during the service project on Saturday afternoon. As we were preparing to leave Camp Emerson, we filmed the closing scene for the vidcast so it would have a unique and humorous ending. Watch for it at the end of the video when it is released.

We accumulated 56 service hours from the day. This also fulfilled the requirement for a service project that we need to complete for Honor Chapter status. Special thanks goes out to the individuals who helped out with the service project.
