1/19/2012: Eagle Scouts
Sam Kocen, Jackson Lindley, and Cameron
Stiede represented our local Scouting
community at the closing dinner of the
Western Region Gathering meeting of the
BSA in Palm Springs. Sam Kocen gave an
oustanding speech to the audience that
stated what the rank of eagle meant to
him. |

1/21/2012: Aca members
Chase Hadden, Ryan Munger, and Cameron
Stiede helped setup and perform the
opening flags for the annual Sunrise
District Dinner in Palm Springs. Over 30
Scouters and their families attended the
dinner |

1/21/2012: Four Aca
Chapter members attended the Lodge
Leader Development along with over 35
other OA members from throughout
Cahuilla Lodge. This day long course
emphasized leadership roles within the
Order of the Arrow. |
 |
|
|
|
1/14/2012: Aca's youth
leaders came together and adults came
together for our 2012 planning meeting.
They laid out our goals for the
year and planned out our calendar for
the rest of the year. Look for some
special announcements and fun activities
that will be announced in the next few
weeks. |

|
1/7/2012: Thirty people
attended the Detsanvli Winter Gathering
in Palm Springs. This event was hosted
by our Deer Run drum and dance teams.
There were Arrowmen and families from 3
different Chapters in attendance. After
a potluck dinner the audience got to
watch exhibitions for jingle dress,
southern buckskin, and northern dancing.
Some members of the audience also got to
be a part of an owl dance for couple's
to dance to a 2 step beat. |

1/7/2012: The first
ceremony of the year! Three Chemehuevie
Clan members performed an Arrow of Light
ceremony for 6 webelos from Pack 78 at
the Marine Corps base in Twentynine
Palms, CA. They did an outstanding job
and gave 2012 a great kick start for
Aca. |

1/7/2012:
Congratulations to Corey Chabot and
Chris Bergh for completing the Vigil
Honor Ceremony at Camp Emerson January
7. Both of them have a long and
distinguished career of service to local
scout units and the general community. |
